What living options and levels of care does The Birches on Maple provide?

The Birches on Maple offers independent living freestanding homes, cottages and apartments, and assisted living and memory care in Carrollton, Georgia, about 50 miles west of Atlanta. Whether you’re looking for a carefree senior lifestyle or a continuing care community providing personalized assistance, you’ll find that residents truly thrive at our welcoming community.

What kind of activities and social programs are available?

You’ll always find something fun to do and someone to join you at The Birches on Maple! Our activity calendar is packed with a variety of options, including fitness classes, discussion groups, onsite lectures and community outings. Our lifestyle and activities directors offer wellness programming with support from Tanner Health’s Get Healthy, Live Well initiative. Additionally, through our partnership with the University of West Georgia, we offer unique lifelong learning opportunities exploring a variety of fascinating topics.

What dining options are offered?

We offer restaurant-style dining in multiple venues featuring delicious and healthy menus. Residents also enjoy eating outdoors on our beautiful patio — and can invite guests to join them anytime.

What is your pet policy?

Pets meeting certain size requirements (depending on neighborhood) are welcome as long as residents take care of them. Please keep in mind that we do not offer pet care or dog-walking services.

How do I choose the right senior living option for my loved one? 

The best way to find the perfect fit is to schedule a tour of The Birches on Maple. We encourage you to bring family members or close friends along with you. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to meet our team, see our wide variety of amenities, explore our living spaces, learn about our continuing care and get a sense of the vibrant community we’ve built.

What different areas are available at The Birches?

The Suites at The Birches offers 55 spacious and well-appointed independent living rental apartments in a variety of floor plan styles and sizes. Continuing care at River Birch Place includes approximately 44 assisted living apartments and 28 memory care apartments. The Cottages at The Birches consists of 18 independent living duplex-style cottages and The Preserve at The Birches is a residential area containing freestanding, single-family homes for purchase (83 upon completion of the subdivision).

How is the location?

The Birches on Maple is convenient to the Carrollton GreenBeltSunset Hills Country ClubCity Station, the University of West Georgia and downtown Carrollton. Proximity to Maple Street Commons also makes it easy for our residents to shop at a full-service grocery store, enjoy gourmet restaurants and visit other retailers.

What medical facilities are nearby the community?

Tanner Primary Care at The Birches is located onsite and provides a wide variety of services to residents and elder adults. Tanner Rehab, Tanner Home Health and Hospice Care are also available in the community. Scheduled transportation to off-site medical care is provided, with Tanner Medical Center, Tanner Health Pavilion and other high-quality healthcare providers just a short drive away.

What are the specifications and price points for the luxury freestanding homes in The Preserve at The Birches?

The Preserve at The Birches offers multiple two- and three-bedroom, 2 ½-bath home designs ranging from 1,500 to 2,100 square feet, each with a two-car garage and private driveway. Prices range from mid $400,000s to low $500,000s with a variety of upgrades available.

Is there an HOA and how does it operate?

Yes, The Preserve at The Birches (freestanding homes) has an association made up of residents of the neighborhood. The Preserve HOA has a seat at the overall Property Owners Association which runs the clubhouse. The initiation fee is $1,000 with monthly fees of $450. Lawn services are included in the HOA, along with access to The Birches on Maple’s services and amenities.
